Your Donation Supports Bird Habitat
Double your impact, and then some!
Playa Lakes Joint Venture (PLJV) relies on partnerships to create lasting change for birds and other wildlife in the western Great Plains. One of the ways we achieve this is through a grant program that provides funding for on-the-ground grassland and wetland habitat conservation projects. With a dollar to dollar minimum match requirement on every grant we provide, we are at least doubling our investment where it matters the most.
To date, we have leveraged $13.5 million in regional conservation funding with over $2.5 million in PLJV grants to conserve more than 68,000 acres of habitat across our six-state area, benefiting 66 priority bird species and many more. That’s more than a 6 to 1 ratio on matching funds to grants.
If you want to help conserve and restore wetland and grassland habitat, please consider joining our network of partners by giving today at a level that is meaningful for you: $10, $25, $50, $100, $200, $500, $1,000 or another amount. Every dollar makes a difference—to both the wildlife and people that inhabit this land.
