“A Difficult Decision to Leave PLJV”

In July, PLJV staff said farewell to Bob McCready, who left to take a part-time contract position to expand the National Wildlife Federation’s Wildlife Conflict Resolution program to Colorado and Nevada. After 15 years with the Joint Venture—first as a management board member representing The Nature Conservancy (and board chairman) and then as Deputy Coordinator—Bob made the difficult decision to leave PLJV in order to “slow down a bit and pursue other interests.”

“I’ve been very happy during my time with PLJV and have a deep commitment to our work,” he said. “Over the years, I have watched this organization change and grow. The level of innovation and ground-breaking work this small staff is able to pull off is unrivaled in my experience, and I’ve been fortunate to play a role in this, which has been humbling and incredibly exciting.”

“Well crap! You always hate to lose the good ones,” said PLJV Coordinator Mike Carter of his long-time colleague, “but we wish him well in his new adventures!”
