Bernadette is most excited to build relationships and see the synergy of partnerships result in acres of beautiful restored lands for wildlife to utilize. She brings 22 years of conservation experience in federal service, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a Master’s in Natural Resources. Her master’s thesis was written on the adaptive management utilized in the Gulf Coastal Plain Ecosystem Partnership and how they approach Longleaf Pine ecosystem restoration which will serve her well in the Tomorrow’s Water project adaptive approach to wetland ecosystem restoration.
In her private time, Bernadette likes to create a variety of homegoods including kombucha, yogurt, sourdough, crocheted and knit items, foraged items, and food from her farm.
This position is part of the Tomorrow’s Water team supported by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation America’s Ecosystem Restoration Initiative grant awarded to the Kansas Water Office.
