Growing up in Oklahoma, Hailey developed a deep appreciation for the landscapes, wildlife, and natural resources that support both people and ecosystems. As PLJV’s Conservation Delivery Manager for the southern region, she works with partners across western Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, and eastern New Mexico to strengthen conservation efforts, build new partnerships, and advance habitat restoration projects. She is especially excited to connect with people who are passionate about conservation while helping protect the grasslands, playas, rivers, and wildlife that make the region unique.
Hailey joined the PLJV team in 2026, bringing expertise in environmental science, habitat restoration, wetland design, and water quality research. She previously served as a postdoctoral research associate with the Center for Restoration of Ecosystems and Watersheds (CREW) at the University of Oklahoma, where she coordinated research projects and collaborated with conservation partners across Oklahoma. She also has experience supporting conservation planning through grants and partnership development.
Hailey holds a doctorate in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma, a master’s degree in environmental science from Oklahoma State University, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Rogers State University. An Oklahoma native and citizen of the Cherokee Nation, she enjoys exploring new landscapes, learning about the history and ecology of the places she visits, and building lasting relationships with partners working to conserve natural resources for future generations.
