When Sabrina joined PLJV in 2026, she brought nearly 20 years of experience in community-based natural resource management. Her career has taken her from Florida to Alaska, North Carolina, American Samoa, and the Caribbean, where she collaborated with local communities to address watershed management, habitat conservation, and natural resource challenges. Throughout her career, she has focused on building strong partnerships that connect people with practical conservation solutions.
As the New Mexico Grasslands Restoration Coordinator, Sabrina works with landowners, partners, and communities to advance voluntary conservation efforts across eastern New Mexico. Her focus is on developing plans for mesquite removal and other restoration practices that allow native grasses to once again thrive across the landscape. She is excited to build relationships with landowners and partners across New Mexico while helping restore healthy grasslands that benefit wildlife, working lands, and future generations.
Sabrina holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of North Florida and earned a master’s degree in environmental studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Before joining PLJV, she led watershed and coral reef conservation initiatives in island communities, working alongside local partners to protect water quality, restore ecosystems, and strengthen community stewardship of natural resources.
